This year we will look at the lives of courageous women and men who have gone before us and be inspired by how God gave them and their communities the courage to follow him through seemingly insurmountable obstacles and trials. People like Queen Esther and the Jewish people, the paralytic man and his friends in Mark 2, the disciples, the women who followed Jesus, Daniel and his friends, and many others remind us that the God who worked in the continues to be the source of our courage today. God works in the ordinary, seemingly mundane lives of everyday people, continuing to cultivate courageous communities of people shaped by Jesus' love, for the flourishing of all.
