I am a husband, father, Jesus lover, and of course, a big-time nerd! My particular flavour of nerd is video game culture. Growing up with a family of gamers made it pretty easy to engage with this culture in a positive way. Over the years my passion for games and Jesus, and my desire to create a positive culture around video games, opened the door to the birth of Satellite Gaming, whose mission is to “point students to Jesus Christ, by building relationships through video games.”As the lead director and founder of Satellite Gaming, I have a finger on the pulse of every element of Satellite Gaming. My role in seeing our mission statement come to life is to be creative, innovative, and build teams of volunteers that can execute the particular strategies. My hope is that Satellite Gaming can be a part of building positive gaming communities across the globe.

Wendy is better known online as WITHWENDY, a Youtuber that uploaded her first sewing tutorial in university and now inspires over a million subscribers to make their own clothing and discover their style. Unlike many sewing gurus, Wendy has never gone to fashion school, but she's found her own way to share her sewing journey authentically and encourage others to dive into the craft. Her pandemic days have been spent in her studio loft in downtown Toronto with her husband and a new little kitten.

Nathan Szeto

Nathan is a Registered Psychotherapist who graduated from Tyndale and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from Regent University. Over the past several years, Nathan's experiences include working with an addiction and mental health agency, a children's mental health agency and private practice. When working with others, he often wonders, "how can I bring Kingdom values and God's redemptive story to my context?"

Henry Ho TC 2021.jpg

Henry was born in Taiwan and grew up an atheist and evolutionist. After moving to Costa Rica at the age of 12 and to Toronto at the age of 15, he heard the gospel. As his many doubts and questions were answered one by one, the truth dawned on him- there is a God, and He is the God of the Bible. Contrary to other worldviews, Christianity is based on solid scientific, historical, and archaeological evidence.
Henry graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School and works as a family doctor. He preaches and teaches apologetics regularly at several churches and fellowships, and especially treasures the opportunity to lead workshops at TC. He is looking forward to answering your hard questions!

Loving Our Neighbours

Joanna Yee.png

Joanna graduated from Tyndale Seminary in 2010 with a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies. The Lord has made her aware of the marginalized people in society, and she was convinced that the gospel of Jesus Christ is carried out in both words and deeds. The parable of the Sheep and the Goats (Matt 25: 31- 46) commands us to serve the least in society. These are words that Joanna takes to heart.

Persecuted Churches

Online Gaming and Identity

EVEN IF I love gaming, God is at work in my life

Available for Day 1, 2

How many times have you heard to stop playing? Is there a way? Why are these games so addictive anyways? Do you ever wish people will stop nagging you about this? This workshop will talk about gaming and our online identity. How can God use this even this area of my life to bring freedom and glory to His Kingdom.

High School Fellowships

EVEN IF I'm just in Highschool, God has purpose for me

Available for Day 1

Can God use me in my high school? Taking on the opportunity to make God known in my school, where do I begin? Let's see how we can make this possible together.

Persecuted Churches

EVEN IF no one else will go, God loves the world

Available for Day 3

There are places in the world where being a Christian means risking your life. Tell me more. What is happening in our world? What does the Bible say about this? Can we do something?

Social Media and Digital Awareness

EVEN IF social media plays a huge role in my life, God can use my influence for the Kingdom

Available for Day 1

Who are we in light of our very social world. Are we defined by our TikTok views? Your number of Instagram followers? Social media allows us to show our best to others, a seemingly new challenge that we face everyday. Are we a different person on social media? What does it mean to live out our faith in these areas? How can awareness bring change? Can social media be used for good? For the Kingdom?

Mental Health

EVEN IF there are struggles, God cares about my mental health

Available for Day 2

Depression, Anxiety, Stress, and so much more. How are we to respond to mental health issues in our own lives? In the lives of our friends? How does it affect who I am? How does this relate to my faith? God Cares.

Post secondary and Faith (Gr. 12s only)

EVEN IF I'm going to university next year, God will prepare me

Available for Day 3

Are you anxious, worried or stressed about heading to post-secondary? Are you not sure what to expect? Are you worried about your relationship with God after high school? Come and learn what university will bring from people who have been there.

Vocation and Calling

EVEN IF my life is all planned out, God has a calling for me

Available for Day 3

"My life has always been planned out for me. As long as I make it to the next thing, I'll be fine." Does that resonate with you? We want to journey with you as you discover God's calling for you and what that means in terms of your vocation. What does that mean? How can I be prepared for what God is equipping me uniquely for.

Social Justice

EVEN IF our world is broken, our God is a God of justice

Available for Day 2

What happens when we try to follow Jesus off the page? What do service, worship, and prayer look like in the messy world outside our front door? Jesus is calling us to step out of our comfort zones to love. In return, our faith will be transformed in ways we never imagined -- we may even discover his love in new ways ourselves. With all the things that are unfair in this world, what does the Bible have to say about this? What does Jesus do about it?

Tough Questions

EVEN IF there are hard questions about faith, God invites me to ask them

Available for Day 2, 3

There are so many debatable questions. What if: I don't know all the answers? I am afraid that I might not be able to help? I get even more confused about my faith? This workshop will address some of the challenges and encourage you to stand firm. Don't be afraid to ask the hard questions. Start sending your questions to TCToughQuestions@gmail.com.

Loving our Neighbours

EVEN IF we're all just home, God wants us to care for those around us

Available for Day 1, 2, 3

"With Great Calling comes Great Commandment, Great Commission and Great Requirement." Now that we've all been home for the past year, does it mean the work of God stops? How do we follow His command to love our neighbours? Who is our neighbour? How can our life be one that is lived with purpose and mission? Who is my neighbour?
