Job Summary:
In alignment with our Mission Statement, AFC Communications staff play an integral role in bringing what God is doing to life via digital arts. The AFC Communications staff cultivate fresh, meaningful, and artistically inspired pathways of connection where students can encounter Jesus via the digital arts.
Tasks & Responsibilities
In collaboration with respective teams (highschool, post-secondary, and communication teams), AFC Communications staff will seek to:
Communicate inspiring and compelling stories (fiction or non-fiction) to help audiences move toward Jesus
Produce content from concept-development to completion, utilizing best practices in areas such as storyboarding, cinematography, audio recording, and lighting
Develop engaging, thought-provoking, and creative video content for use on various platforms
Capture visually captivating content that will increase engagement on various platforms
Develop a strategic direction for how to leverage digital arts to help students encounter Jesus
Create engaging videos for internal (ex: training) and external (ex: recruitment) use
Be aware of student trends and preferences, so as to contextualize our content and strategic direction
Qualifications and Experience

Education/Experience
Graduation from a post-secondary institution
Experience/exposure to AFC ministries an asset
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Growing social maturity (accurate self-perception, able to initiate and cultivate relationships)
Growing emotional maturity (self-regulates, appropriately transparent)
Lighting and Sound design an asset
Use of various technical skills and software to complete production
Possess strong writing and verbal communication skills
Able to work in a team environment with stakeholders from a wide variety of ministry divisions, including corporate communications, and our various student ministry teams
Communication
Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset (or may be required for certain language-specific ministries)

This role requires the successful applicant to participate in Ministry Partnership Development. Ministry Partnership Development (MPD) is the faithful act of inviting fellow believers to partner with you in ministry through ongoing financial and prayer support. The financial support will be directed to an individual staff account designated to you, and will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses.
