Stewardship: Trusting God's Blueprint for Creation

In Genesis 1 we read that God beheld his creation and saw that “it was very good”. He gave us a mandate as people made in his image to be good stewards over every living thing. The hope is that we will continue to co-create with God a world that continues to flourish. So what went wrong? Why do we live in a time where there is a great ecological crisis that threatens all of God’s creation? How can we do better and hope to change the course for all of creation? In this workshop, we will explore scripture together to see what God has always intended us to do as his co-creators. We will brainstorm together and share ideas of how to make practical changes in our lives and our communities, so that the world can once again be a place where all creation can flourish.

About Jillian

Jillian is the Director of People and Culture at AFC. From a young age, Jillian was fascinated with how God designed all creation to be interconnected and interdependent. As she learned more about the rate at which our natural world is being destroyed, she wanted to do her part as a good steward of God’s creation. Through her studies at Fuller Theological Seminary, Jillian gained the theological foundation necessary to pursue this calling of being a good steward and a passion to mobilize others to do the same.
