What Does Homelessness Have to Do With Me?

This workshop will take an Canadian-Asian-Christian perspective on why we need to care about homelessness as part of God's Kingdom. It will provide a basic overview of why homelessness exists in the GTA, explore what the Bible has to say about homelessness and poverty, and challenge your thoughts on what you can do about it. This workshop will include a hands-on opportunity to pack and create Blessing Bags for individuals impacted by homelessness.

About Melody

Melody Li is the Founder and Executive Director of Homeless Connect Toronto.  She first came across the Homeless Connect model in 2010 in Edmonton, but God began to plan the seed and reveal the pieces of a puzzle for her to start this work here in Toronto.  For the next three years, she connected with 200 individuals to share her vision.  Homeless Connect Toronto coordinated one-stop-shop events to connect individuals impacted by homelessness to essential services, while providing a safe and and respectful environment, restoring dignity to individuals impacted by homelessness.
