Ambassadors for Christ (AFC) in Canada is an intergenerational ministry with a mission to nurture students toward a courageous faith in Jesus that motivates them to live beyond themselves. This is done with an emphasis on fully honouring their Chinese identity and surrounding community
Walking With Students Through Every Stage
AFC ministers to students from grade 7 all the way through post-secondary education. From campus communities (Chinese Christian Fellowship (CCF)) to events/conferences (AFC Teens Conference, Frosh Connexion, Campus Challenge), the goal is to journey with students throughout their most formative years, pointing them to faith in Christ.

For over 50 years, the work of AFC has played a unifying role in the Chinese-Canadian church community. AFC is a trusted partner of Chinese churches across denominations, and a key partner in developing the next generation of Christian leaders.
Our Hope for the Next Generation
The hope and prayer of AFC is that the next generation be one that embraces their God-given identity in full, with faith that is courageous, lived out beyond themselves, resulting in the flourishing of all.

The AFC
‘Upward Arrow’
The ‘Upward Arrow’ in our branding represents the student ministry space where youth are encouraged to pursue Christ (vertical direction), in the context of community (horizontal direction). After 50 years of pioneering, the arrow also represents AFC's commitment to our mission; we are still pushing ahead and excited for what the Lord has for us in the years to come.
What we believe
The Trinity: We believe that God is Trinitarian in nature: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Three persons yet one God, eternally existent.
Jesus Christ: We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
Holy Spirit: We believe in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit and the work of regeneration and in His present ministry by whose in-dwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
Condition of Humans: We believe that all people are created in the image of God, deeply loved, valued, and pursued by our Creator. We also believe that all are in need of a Savior due to the state of our sinful natures, in need of the redemption received through the regenerative grace of God through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Bible: We believe in the divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of the Bible as originally given, and in its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
One Universal Church: We believe in the one Holy Universal Church which is the Body of Christ and to which all true believers belong and in its mission to witness concerning its Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the Gospel to all nations.

is a deeply held value at AFC.
What does this look like? It means working with churches, organizations, communities, and volunteers who share a similar heartbeat. A posture of interdependence, appreciation and mutuality. We know we don’t have all the answers but believe that when we work together, we can do so much more.
