Worthy of His Forgiveness

During our reflection activity, an attendee shared their secret: "although I ask God to forgive me, I don't know if he has forgiven me or not." My heart sunk. I've always struggled with this idea of conviction and if I was worthy of forgiveness. I felt my mouth speaking, sharing with them that the goodness of forgiveness comes with the gift of the Gospel. God has forgiven us already through sending His son on earth as a servant to die an undeserving death so that we can find reconciliation - forgiveness. This gift is absolutely free and there is nothing in the world that can ever take that away from us- our God has no rival. As I spoke, I felt as if I needed to hear it as much as that attendee did. At that moment, I felt God speak through me.
