About: A campus ministry conference for Asian and Chinese Christian Fellowships across Eastern Canada

Theme: The Gospel Movement
You have heard the "great invitation" from the Gospel of Luke atUrbana 2012, now get ready for the sequel in the Acts of the Apostles. At Campus Challenge 2013, we will dig deep into the Book of Acts and study how the "Gospel Movement" initiated by Jesus Christ and facilitated by the Holy Spirit is unstoppable. Not internal conflict, not cultural barrier, not the religious authority, not the Roman empire.

But more importantly, as we re-live the story of the early church, it is inevitable to miss that the story is meant to be continued... by us.

Therefore, at Campus Challenge 2013, we will ask hard questions about God's calling to us today, and what is its implications to the Asian/Chinese Christian Fellowship movement in Eastern Canada.

From our reflection on the Book of Acts, we will also explore the 3 core values of the Asian/Chinese Christian Fellowship movement:

1. We are a Gospel-centered movement
2. We are a Missional movement
3. We are a Culture-shaping movement

Location:

Prince Edward Island - Camp Abegweit located in the South Shore community of Augustine Cove

Trip Dates (Departing from Toronto):

June 24th, 2013 - June 29th, 2013

Cost (to be fundraised):

$985 (Departing from Toronto Pearson Airport)

Trip fees include airfare, food, housing, transportation and ministry supplies in PEI. It also includes all mandatory training in Toronto. The cost of up-to-date vulnerable sector police check, over-weight baggage and all personal expenses are extra.

Details: This mission’s trip primary focus is to lead a Gospel Youth Camp for PEI youth. Bringing the gospel to youth from all walks of life. Youth from Grade 9 - 12, varying from PEI locals, to new immigrants, to refugees. This will be a great opportunity to reach cross-culturally within the diversity we have in Canada, and see a different perspective on world missions. This trip will include using small group leading skills, and leading group into an introduction bible study. It will also give each team member a chance to share their personal testimonies, and build personal relationships with the youth in PEI. Our vision for the team is to train leaders that already have a background in AFC's ministries and other church leaders that have a heart for missions, to go beyond their comfort zones and cross-culturally reach out to international/new immigrant/refugee students in Canada. This will start with the training process and will be followed up with opportunities after the Youth Camp missions trip ends.

Training Timeline:

After the selection process the Team will then go through a series of training to prepare them for the Camp

Tentative Training Dates are as follows:

7:00pm-9:30pm -- Orientation and support raising training

[May 18th, 2013 @ Campus Challenge]

10:00am-9pm -- Evangelism, reaching international students and team building

[Jun 1st, 2013 @ AFC office]

10:00am-4:00pm -- Bible Study and Small Group training

[Jun 8th, 2013 @ AFC office]

10:00am-4:00pm -- Final Prep

All team members must fill out an application form, to be reviewed by staff. Selection will be based on application and experience, and is entirely up to staff's discretion
